Jackie has been a student of Pilates for 18 years. As a competitive springboard diver at the Collegiate and National Level, Jackie used Pilates to increase her body awareness and strength. She enjoyed how Pilates not only improved her athletic performance, but also how it helped her manage lower back pain and return to skiing after knee surgery. Jackie has studied under Carin Lenox, Melissa Soltero and completed her Pilates Teacher Training at Flow Motion Pilates with Jessie DeLong.
Jackie is also a classically trained pianist, having studied under Noreen Wenjen at Wenjen Piano Studios. During her musical education she completed the Certificate of Merit program and participated in the Guild Auditions. Jackie is a graduate of the University of California Irvine with a Bachelor of the Arts in Sociology and a Graduate Degree in Elementary Education.
As an athlete, musician, coach and educator, Jackie is passionate about providing her students and clients with the skills and tools they will need to strengthen their body and mind for a lifetime.
“Jackie Greenleaf is a fantastic piano teacher. She is incredibly friendly and very clear at giving instructions. I have seen my son steadily excel as a first year student. He is always happy to practice and attend her lessons. Her teaching methods build the correct foundation for understanding music theory and playing the piano proficiently. Our area is very lucky to have a teacher like Jackie in our midst!” – Kelsey Mitchell, parent of Piano Student, age 8
“I love Jackie’s cues and that she is aware of what my body needs/wants. We go nice and slow, accessing small muscles that I wouldn’t normally work. Pilates is a different kind of exercise that helps me grow as an athlete, keeps my body together and it’s fun for me!” – Raquel Bartlow, Ocean Swimmer, Surfer, and Pilates Client.
